Ethics & Values — Training & Best Practices Listening Session

Wednesday March18 at 12:00pm-1:30pm Mountain Time
Free for everyone in the CHEC community—both members and non‑members are welcome.

The CHEC Ethics & Values Committee is partnering with the Training & Best Practices Committee to host a collaborative listening session focused on how our emerging Community Values connect to coaching practice, professional standards, and member development.

This conversation will explore questions such as:

  • How should CHEC’s values show up in training and professional learning?
  • What ethical commitments are most essential in everyday coaching work?
  • How can our values support excellence across diverse institutional contexts?

This session is an opportunity to reflect not only on what we believe as an organization, but how those beliefs translate into practical guidance for coaches across higher education. We encourage you to complete the Ethics & Values Community Survey in advance and share your perspective.

Whether you work directly in training, lead coaching programs, or are engaged in student-facing work, your perspective matters. We hope you’ll join us for a thoughtful, community-centered dialogue.
